Liverpool became an ocean of red as thousands of fans celebrated the football club's 20th top flight league title in an open-top bus parade.

Huge crowds lined the streets as Arne Slot and his team wound their way along the 10-mile (16km) route.

The Reds were presented with the Premier League trophy before jubilant fans at a packed Anfield on Sunday following their final day 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

The parade wrapped up a booming bank holiday weekend in the city, which also hosted BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend three-day festival.

Here are just some of the more striking images from the colourful celebrations.
