Michael Mulvana, 31, and Jobie Tyers, 27, appeared at Leeds Crown Court earlier charged with his murder.
Mr Mulvana, of Bright Street, and Mr Tyers, of Croft Farm, were not asked to enter a plea and were remanded in custody to appear again at the same court on 19 December.
In addition to being charged with murder, both men are also accused of intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
