A car park in a Leicestershire town is to close again while more work is carried out, a council has said.

The car park at Bouskell Park, in Blaby, was shut in October and reopened in January, following a refurbishment, with new parking charges.

Blaby District Council said it would be closed again from Wednesday until Tuesday, 11 March.

The authority said more work was needed at the park's entrance along with resurfacing on Welford Road.

The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) said temporary traffic lights would be in place on Welford Road whilst the work is completed.

The council said Bouskell Park's main gates will be closed while the work takes place but the park itself will remain open and that pedestrian access will be unaffected.
