Surfers rescue fellow board-riders from the sea

Two people who got into trouble while surfing at a popular south Devon beach were rescued by other surfers.
Kingsbridge Coastguard Rescue Team said they were alerted to a person at Bantham who was helped out of the sea by other surfers on Thursday.
The casualty was checked over by members of the team, before being taken to hospital for further treatment in hospital, coastguards said.
As the team was about to stand down they saw another surfer struggling in a rip current who was helped to the beach by a fellow water user.
Coastguards thanked the person who alerted them to the first surfer.
"We also want to commend the surfers who helped the injured casualty out of the water," they said.
