Found alone near Ocean Vets in Alderholt, the sixth puppy needed treatment to a leg injury

The last of seven Lurcher puppies stolen from a litter over three weeks ago has still not been found.

The five-week-old puppies were taken from their mother in Shroton, near Blandford Forum, Dorset on 28 December at about 23:00 GMT.

Three were located by the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team on New Year's Eve.

On 9 January police said two were handed in to a vets in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, about a week later a sixth was found alone near Ocean Vets in Alderholt, East Dorset.

Two of the puppies were handed in to a veterinary practice in Fordingbridge, Hampshire and then reunited with their mother.

The last puppy to be found, the sixth, had to be treated for a leg injury.

Dorset Police said a 28-year-old man from east Dorset and a woman, 22, from Wimborne, previously arrested on suspicion of burglary remain on bail.

A man aged in his 40s arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods also remains released on police bail.

The force said: "We remain committed to getting the final puppy home and bringing those involved to justice."
