Traitors star pregnant after seven miscarriages

Charlotte Chilton shared she had experienced multiple miscarriages and failed rounds of IVF before her "miracle" pregnancy

A Traitors star has announced a "miracle" pregnancy, after numerous miscarriages and rounds of fertility treatment.

Recruitment manager Charlotte Chilton from Warwickshire, who competed in the second series of the hit BBC One show, shared the news on Instagram.

The 33-year old wrote: "After seven miscarriages over my 20s, failed insemination, failed IVF, I was told 'it probably won't happen for you'.

"Yet, someone decided I deserved a wish answering and I am now going to have my own little miracle," she added.

In the social media message, Ms Chilton shared several images of her pregnancy bump and the scan of her baby.

She described a "rough start" to the pregnancy and that she "never knew sickness could be so bad".

But she said she was "starting to feel normal again" and, after keeping it a secret for a while, was now keen to share her good news.

"I wanted to share this with all my family, friends and the Traitors fan base," she added.

"It's been a shock to say the least but the most welcomed surprise ever."

The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, saw 22 strangers gather in a Scottish castle for the chance to win up to £120,000.

Contestants selected as traitors pick off their fellow players, known as faithfuls, with nightly "murders" while remaining undetected.

Ms Chilton was banished after being wrongly suspected of being a traitor.

Winkleman responded to Ms Chilton's post with love heart emojis and season one contestant Kieran Tompsett wrote: "Amazing congratulations darling."
