A couple of childhood sweethearts delighted passengers on board a flight by travelling in their wedding clothes.
Rhiannon Simmonds and Joe Lewis were flying from Bristol to Tenerife to continue their celebrations after a registry office wedding.
They were accompanied by their entire party of eight bridesmaids, three groomsmen, three page boys, two best men and one maid of honour.
"Due to all the sequins on our dresses, the bridesmaids and I had an extra check when we went through security at Bristol Airport; something the security staff said they’d never seen before," Ms Simmonds said.
Ms Simmonds, from Wales, praised the the welcome her party received from the on board TUI crew.
She said: "They were amazing and made us feel so special. They made the flight so enjoyable, so we really can’t thank them enough."
'Big fuss'
Paige Crathorne, a member of TUI cabin crew, said the flight staff had never seen anything like it before.
"We made a big fuss. I first saw the bridesmaids in their dresses, and soon found out we had a whole wedding party on board.
"Things like this always put a smile on our faces and made the flight so enjoyable.
"Lots of other customers were wishing them congratulations, and after we made the flight deck aware of the occasion, they made a special announcement for the bride and groom."
