Police have put dispersal orders in place in response to information about possible unauthorised horse and trap racing.

The orders have been put in place from 11:30 BST on Friday to 23:59 on Monday in Epping Forest and Brentwood districts.

Essex Police has been given the power to direct anyone suspected of casing anti-social behaviour to leave the area or face arrest.

Insp Jonathan Main said: "Racing on public road networks is an offence, and will result in us taking enforcement action."
