Residents of a Lincolnshire village say they feel trapped in their homes because of potholes in nearby roads.
Danny Lee, 66, said he recently fell off his mobility scooter while trying to avoid a pothole in Sutterton Drove, near his home in Amber Hill.
Mr Lee said he has stopped visiting his neighbours because of the state of the roads.
Lincolnshire County Council said it spent £140,000 fixing the road last year and will spend more this year.
“I think this is one of the worst roads in Lincolnshire for potholes," Mr Lee said.
"The uneven roads are one thing. But when I hit a pothole I go straight down it on my scooter and at night the whole road looks black and you don’t see them."
Keith Chambers, 51, also lives in the village, near Boston, and is concerned about the state of the roads.
“It’s terrible around here," he said. "I had to get my car through its MOT the other day and usually there’s a problem with my suspension.
"My car’s undertray came off the other day too," Mr Chambers added. "You’re just always struggling driving up and down here.”
Mr Lee described the repairs the council had made to the roads in Amber Hill as "a total bodge”.
“They don’t do the repairs properly," he said. "They do a few bits here and there and the main problem is that the whole road needs relaying.”
Lincolnshire County Council said it repaired 120,000 potholes across the county last year at a cost of £70m.
Councillor Richard Davies, executive councillor for highways, said: “Last year we spent around £140,000 on repairing sections of Sutterton Drove in Amber Hill.
"Over 2024 and 2025 we are doing a full reconstruction of big lengths of the road but, fundamentally, roads like this are a function of spend," he said.
"They are extremely expensive to build and we just need the money."
Mr Davies added that the authority was trialling new pothole-fixing technologies.
