Stunning wildlife photographs from a competition are set to go on display at Jersey Zoo.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, on loan from the Natural History Museum in London, will open on 31 August to 29 September.
Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust said "exceptional images" would feature in the display detailing "fascinating animal behaviour, spectacular species and the breath-taking diversity of the natural world".
Commenting on the exhibition, Durrell’s interim CEO Rebecca Brewer said: "This stunning display of nature photography is guaranteed to inspire and connect our visitors to the diversity of the natural world."
A Durrell spokesperson said the competition, run by the museum, received 49,957 entries from 95 countries.
Ms Brewer added: "The images are also a powerful reminder of both the beauty we strive to protect and the threats many species face, highlighting the vital importance of Durrell's conservation work across the globe."
The entries were judged anonymously on their creativity, originality, and technical excellence by an international panel of industry experts.
Dr Doug Gurr, director of the Natural History Museum said the exhibition revealed "some of nature’s most wondrous sights whilst offering hope and achievable actions visitors can take to help protect the natural world".
