Biker killed in A9 Highland Perthshire crash named

A 63-year-old biker who died in a crash in Highland Perthshire has been named as Andrew MacPherson from Cambridgeshire.

Mr MacPherson died at the scene of the incident on the A9 near Calvine at about 13:30 on Sunday.

The crash involved a Hyundai Ioniq and two Harley Davidson motorbikes.

A 50-year-old woman has appeared in court accused of causing Mr MacPherson's death by dangerous driving.

Die Huang, from Guangdong Province in China, also faces a charge of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The passengers in the car she was driving were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Huang made no plea during a private hearing at Perth Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody.

The case was continued for further examination and is expected to call again next week.
