Pensioner dies after head-on crash

The crash happened on the A303 near Tisbury

A man has died and a second man has suffered potentially life-changing injuries after a head on crash on the A303.

Wiltshire Police say the crash happened near Tisbury around 3:35 BST on 30 April.

An Audi A4 going eastbound on the single carriageway section of the A303 at Chilmark collided with a Volkswagen Caravelle travelling in the other direction.

The driver of the Audi, a man in his 80s, died at the scene and the driver of the Volkswagen, a man in his 30s, suffered serious leg injuries.

A passenger in the Volkswagen, a woman in her 20s, suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed overnight and has since reopened.
