Three teenagers have been taken to hospital in Devon after smoking a vape.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the students from Paignton Academy had appeared unwell after using the vape and required medical care.
Response officers attended Torbay Hospital and spoke to the patients and their parents.
Officers said all three were released after a period of observation.
'Providing expert talks'
Police said inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
A spokesperson for the academy said they could "confirm an incident took place involving a small number of pupils" on Tuesday.
They added: "We took immediate action and those involved have been medically checked and are now safe and well.
"We are working with the police to assist their investigations and are therefore unable to comment further.
“We would like to reassure our community that we take the health and safety of our pupils incredibly seriously.
"We are doing all we can to educate them about the dangers of the national increase in vaping, including providing expert talks, PSHE [personal, social, health and economic] sessions and updating our school policies.
"We encourage any parents with questions to contact the academy.”
