Detectives have launched an investigation after man was stabbed in a Grimsby park.
Officers sealed off Boulevard Park after reports a man had suffered stab wounds shortly before 21:15 BST on Sunday.
Humberside Police said it was believed those involved in the incident were known to each other.
The victim was taken to hospital and is being treated for life-threatening injuries, the force added.
Insp Gary Johnson, who is leading the investigation, said: “I understand the nature of this incident will be concerning to the local community."
However, he added: "I want to offer my reassurance that whilst we are at the early stages of our investigation, we believe this to be an isolated incident between individuals known to each other."
The scene is being guarded while detectives work to establish the circumstances of the incident and identify those involved.
Insp Johnson added: “There will continue to be a high policing presence in the area [and] I would encourage anyone with information, or anyone with concerns, to please come and speak to us."
