Comedian John Bishop has rescheduled his performance in Wolverhampton after it clashed with England reaching the final of Euro 2024.

The star posted a message on social media after Ollie Watkins scored a last-minute winner in their semi-final against the Netherlands on Wednesday.

He said he was moving his show at the Civic Hall on Sunday, scheduled for 20:00 BST, to the afternoon, to avoid a clash with the Three Lions' match against Spain in the tournament finale.

The performer said there was "no chance", external he would go stage at the same time.

He told those coming to the Civic on Sunday that they would get "an email in the morning" confirming the time of the rescheduled show.

"I know it won't suit everybody, so anyone who can't make it, we'll give you a refund, but we're definitely going to move the time to Sunday afternoon because there's no chance I'm going to be doing at 8 o'clock, because I'm going to be be busy watching these boys."
