Five paddleboarders rescued off Cornish coast

Five paddleboarders were rescued after being caught out by windy conditions

Lifeboat crews have rescued five paddleboarders who were "being blown out to sea" off the coast of Cornwall.
Port Isaac RNLI said it received a call from the coastguard regarding the emergency between Port Gaverne and Barrett’s Zawn at about 15:18 BST on Tuesday.
All five people were rescued and taken to Port Gaverne beach by The Pride of Port Isaac lifeboat, the RNLI said.
Helmsman Tom Brown warned people to "stay vigilant to weather conditions".
He said: "The wind can pick up unexpectedly and change conditions very quickly, which is exactly what happened.
"Even experienced water users can find themselves in trouble.
"We always advise anyone heading out to sea to wear a flotation device and ensure they have a means of communication, it can make all the difference in an emergency."
The volunteer lifeboat crew were assisted in the rescue by fishing boat Emma Kate from Padstow.
