Hit-and-run 'link' explored as man remains missing

Police said it received intelligence indicating Brian Wright was dead

Detectives investigating the death of a man at a farm and the disappearance of an 82-year-old man have said they could be linked to a hit-and-run that left two men injured.
A 52-year-old man was found dead in an outbuilding off the A1133 in Langford, near Newark in Nottinghamshire, shortly after 10:15 GMT on Saturday.
Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious, but it was believed to be linked to the disappearance of Brian Wright, who was reported missing from the area on Thursday.
Nottinghamshire Police is now exploring a "potential link" with a crash in Gainsborough Road, Winthorpe, shortly before 10:00 on Saturday, when two men were hit by a car that then left the scene.
The men were not seriously injured, police added.
Mr Wright remains missing, but detectives launched a homicide investigation after receiving intelligence indicating he was dead.
Search teams have been deployed to the area and the force added it would provide further updates.

A police investigation into the death at the farm is ongoing
"Our thoughts are very much with the family and loved ones of those concerned at this understandably distressing time, and the local community," the force said.
"We would also ask the public to respect the privacy of family members at what is an incredibly difficult time for them, and to not speculate about these events."
Nottinghamshire Police also referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) due to previous police contact with family members.
A spokesperson for the IOPC said: "After carefully considering the information provided with the referral, we have decided that the matter should be returned to Nottinghamshire Police to be dealt with in any manner it determines is appropriate, and without a formal direction to investigate."
