An initiative has been set up to offer adults free training courses to enhance their career prospects and improve skills.
Truro and Penwith College’s Future Skills Institute has planned to deliver a range of workshops from October to December.
The workshops are part of the college’s ongoing effort to support the local community in achieving personal and professional growth, Truro and Penwith College said.
It added that the workshops would equip adults with the skills and knowledge needed to advance in their current roles or pursue new opportunities.
Public speaking
The workshops are set to be held at Truro and Penwith College’s Truro and Tregye campuses and the STEM and Health Skills Centre in Bodmin.
Erin Wake, Shipping and Admin Support for ICE Trikes, commented: "I attended seminars to overcome challenges in assertiveness... and public speaking.
"They provided valuable tools for both personal and professional growth, helping me gain confidence and handle difficult situations effectively."
The course will cover a range of topics such as assertiveness and challenging conversations and psychological safety in the workplace.
Charli Styles, Programme Team Leader for Future Skills at Truro and Penwith College, stated: "We are thrilled to introduce our Winter Workshops, designed to meet the evolving needs of Cornwall’s professionals.
"These programmes offer a fantastic chance for individuals to gain new skills and insights that can significantly impact their career paths."
