Bus passengers in Guernsey will have to pay up to 15% more for single journeys, after the States increased prices for 2025.

Trips paid with a Puffin Pass will go up from £1 to £1.15, while single tickets bought with a credit card will go up from £1.50 to £1.60 - a rise of more than 6%.

The latest price rises mean single bus tickets now cost over 50% more than they did in September 2023.

Environment and Infrastructure (E&I), which set the prices, said the increases would "offset the increases in the existing bus contract costs".

E&I said it did not receive a single response to a consultation launched in December.

Other bus prices including weekly passes will stay the same price.
