A fire crew is to undertake an eight-hour stair climb up Surrey's tallest tower for charity.
Firefighters from Surrey Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS) will walk up and down the 34-storey Tower 1 in Woking's Victoria Square in full kit to raise funds for the Fire Fighters Charity.
The residential skyscraper complex consists of three towers, with Tower 1 being the highest at 384ft (117m).
Already close to reaching their £5,000 target, the team hopes the money will provide "essential support and rehabilitation for those brave firefighters who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe".
The eight-hour continual challenge is to begin at 10:00 BST on Wednesday and is expected to end at 18:00.
Their fundraising page said that donations would "help ensure that these heroes receive the care they need after facing the physical and emotional challenges of their demanding work".
Last year, SFRS raised £107,618 for the Fire Fighters Charity.
The total, which ranked sixth out of the fire services in the country, was reached through charity walks, car washes and open days.
