Residents are being urged to have their say on the planning process of Waverley Borough Council.

The Surrey authority has launched a consultation on its Statement of Community Involvement, which runs until 19 April.

It sets out how and when the council will consult over its planning policy documents, including the new Local Plan and what it should contain.

Councillor Liz Townsend said different perspectives will help the council "make informed decisions shaped by local communities".

It is the first consultation on the council’s new online engagement platform CommonPlace, but paper copies are also available at the council offices and public libraries from 8 March to 19 April.
