A conference in Guernsey is to explore how best to ask people for money, make use of artificial intelligence, and whether gala dinners are worth it.

The Association of Guernsey Charities conference will be held at Les Beaucamps High School on Saturday.

Wayne Bulpitt, the chair of the Association of Guernsey Charities, said the aim of the conference was to "help support all the people who are working to make Guernsey an even better place".

He added: "The event will offer a dynamic mix of engaging panels, workshops, and networking opportunities, all focused on improving the impact of charities."

Changing technology

Saturday's keynote speaker is Joe Saxton, the chair of the Association of Chairs, the umbrella body for charity board leaders.

Mr Saxton has worked with more than 200 charities.

He was named one of the most influential people in voluntary sector communications by PR Week magazine, and he has twice been listed as one of the most influential people in London by the Evening Standard newspaper.

Other topics include changing technology, corporate fundraising streams, grant applications, diversity, motivational leadership and digital marketing.
