An investigation has been launched after technical issues with self-service kiosks sparked delays.

Queues at Bristol Airport built up at check-in areas as staff had to manually book in departing passengers.

The problem lasted "a few hours", but has since been resolved, an airport spokesperson confirmed.

The cause of the issue is being investigated, they added.

EasyJet was one of the affected airlines, a spokesperson said: “Due to a temporary technical issue impacting airlines at Bristol Airport this morning, for a short time customers experienced a longer than usual wait at bag drop while our team checked in bags manually.

"The issue has been resolved and while this was outside of our control, we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
