A man has fallen from a balcony at a Butlins, police have said.

The injured man was airlifted from the Skegness resort on Sunday and taken to hospital in Nottingham.

Lincolnshire Police said he was believed to have suffered a "medical episode" following the fall. The force is not treating it as suspicious.

A Butlin's spokesperson said: "We can confirm that an air ambulance attended our Skegness resort on Sunday with a guest requiring medical attention.

"The guest was taken to hospital and we thank the emergency services for their help."

East Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed the man was taken to Queen's Medical Centre.
