Boy seriously hurt after car crashes into wall

A 16-year-old boy has been left seriously injured after the car he was a passenger in crashed into a wall.

South Yorkshire Police said the collision involved a silver Kia Ceed and happened in Manchester Road, in the Stocksbridge area of Sheffield, at about 00:20 BST on Wednesday.

The driver of the car, a 31-year-old woman, and three other 16-year-old boys suffered minor injuries, police said.

A brief road closure was in place near the junction with Ashfield Road.
