Police name 17-year-old boy who died in crash

Police have released the name of a 17-year-old boy who died following a single-vehicle crash on a rural road in Lincolnshire.

Jamie Nolan, from Cleethorpes, died after a white VW Polo crashed shortly after 09:30 GMT on Sunday, Lincolnshire Police said, adding: "Our thoughts remain with his family and friends and all those who knew him."

The incident took place at the junction of Burgh Road with Scald Gate on Old Fen Bank, near Wainfleet St Mary - a village close to Skegness.

A female passenger was taken to hospital with injuries described as "potentially life-changing", the force added.

The force has appealed for anyone with information about the crash to get in touch.
