A motorcyclist was hurt when they rode into a telegraph pole that had collapsed on to a road after it had been struck by a car.

Suffolk Police officers were called to Cockfield Road in Felsham, south-east of Bury St Edmunds, just after 21:30 BST on Monday.

They said a Ford Fiesta had crashed into the pole, causing it to fall into the path of other vehicles.

The rider was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge while the car driver, a woman, was arrested on suspicion of driving while over the prescribed limit for alcohol.
