Two further arrests have been made after a man was found seriously injured in Shirebrook.

Derbyshire Police said a man had been admitted to hospital on Saturday following an incident in or near The Gate Inn on King Edward Street earlier in the evening.

The force is still trying to establish how he came to be injured and said it was aware of a video circulating on social media - but urged people not to share it and send it directly to police.

Two men, aged 23 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remained in custody, police said on Tuesday.

A 20-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, who were previously held on suspicion of the same offences, have both been released on bail while inquiries continue, the force added.

Anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage from the Main Street area of Shirebrook has been urged to contact officers.
