Man denies attempted murder after woman stabbed

A man has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder after a woman was stabbed.
Matthew Jones, of Ivy Avenue, Southdown, Bath, appeared before Bristol Crown Court earlier, in connection with the stabbing of a woman in her 20s in Dransfield Way, Bath, on 26 February.
The 28-year-old defendant admitted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, but denied having an article with a blade or a point in a public place.
Mr Jones has been remanded into custody until his trial on 2 September.
