An 18-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder following a stabbing in Norfolk.

Danny Norman, who is in his 30s, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge following the incident on Bury Road in Thetford on 10 March.

Elvis Price, of Amulet Way, Thetford, has been charged with attempted murder and he also denied a charge of possessing a bladed or pointed weapon during an appearance at Norwich Crown Court.

Another teenager, who cannot be identified because of his age, is charged with attempted murder and escaping lawful custody. He entered no pleas.

Mr Price appeared in court via video link from HMP Norwich, while the younger man - being held at a secure training unit in Milton Keynes - appeared in person.

Both defendants have been remanded in custody until their trial which is due to take place in September.
