Man dies and woman injured after being hit by car

It is reported that the man and woman were crossing the Holderness Road in Hull.

A man has died and a woman was taken to hospital after they were struck by a car on Friday evening, Humberside Police said.
Officers said a grey BMW collided with the two pedestrians as they crossed Holderness Road in Hull at around 19:50 GMT.
The force said the car was reported to have been travelling eastbound before the incident near the junction of Clarence Street and Dansom Lane South.
A 63-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and a 48-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries, police said.
Humberside Police has appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.
