A woman accused of murdering her former partner will now face jurors in the autumn after her original trial date was moved because she'd given birth.

Stephanie McLaggan, formerly of North Warren Road, Gainsborough, had been due in court in January over the death of 44-year-old Gillian Connelly.

However, the trial was delayed because the 37-year-old had a baby.

Judge James House KC set a new date at Lincoln Crown Court earlier for 22 September.

The court previously heard Ms Connelly was found with serious injuries in Wheeldon Street in the early hours of 28 July and died later in hospital.

Ms McLaggan remains in custody at HMP Peterborough.
