A mother said she fears she will die before her killed son's remains are found.

Jesse Richards, originally from Gloucester, was attacked in Cleeve Prior near Evesham 15 years ago, after a dispute involving a drugs debt.

It is believed the 40-year-old was driven to wasteland in Bedworth where a van he was bundled into was burnt out, but there has been no trace of his remains.

Lucy Richards, now in her 80s, said she wanted to bury her son so she can die in peace. "So please, all of you, if you've got any heart, give my Jesse back," she said.

"My heart is broken and it has been for 15 years. I do want my Jesse back," she told the BBC.

Five men were jailed in 2012 for a total of 50 years in connection with Mr Richards's death.

But his family said they are living a life sentence.

"If they give Jesse back, their conscience would be better," Ms Richards said.

"They'd sleep better at night thinking, that lady's got her son back now, she can bury him and see where he is and she can die in peace."

Over the years there have been a number of searches for Mr Richards's remains, but with a £10,000 reward on offer, the family hope someone will come forward with information.

Tina Richards, Jesse's sister, told the BBC: "They're not punishing Jesse now. They're punishing his family, they're punishing his mother, they're punishing his kids, they're punishing us.

"We're the ones going to bed every night thinking is tomorrow gonna be the day the phone's gonna ring. Is Jesse going to be found?"

Lucy Richards added: "I'm never going to stop grieving over him until I find him.

"Just ring up and tell anybody, the police, anonymously, anything. Just give him back."
