Public invited to comment on bus lane changes

The proposals look to reduce bus journey times
- Published
The public are invited to have their say on plans to make changes to bus lanes in north Devon.
The proposals aim to reduce bus journey times for services from Braunton towards Barnstaple, Devon County Council said.
The consultation began on Wednesday and will close on 18 February.
The council said feedback from the consultation would help inform the final design of the scheme, with aims to introduce improvements by spring 2025.
Mr Ian Roome, councillor for Barnstaple North, said: “The scheme aims to use government money to make bus journeys easier and quicker, saving time and making people’s lives better."
The council said the scheme would prioritise buses and taxis to avoid queuing traffic and has government funding.
Members of the public can share their opinions on the proposals through a Have Your Say questionnaire, external or by emailing.
