Motorists in Kent are facing delays following an incident on the A21.

Kent Police said officers were called to "a location next to the London-bound A21 near Tonbridge" at 15:15 GMT on Tuesday.

The force said a vehicle was believed to have left the carriageway and overturned.

Emergency services remain at the scene and a road closure is in place in both directions.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) said it was called to assist police and sent three fire engines, a technical rescue unit and a water safety unit to the scene.

The A21 Tonbridge bypass is currently closed between the A225 for Hildenborough and the A26 Woodgate Way, with congestion backing up to the Sevenoaks bypass.

National Highways South East said delays had reached 90 minutes by about 17:45, as a result of the incident.
