A popular festival will see scientists leave their labs to stage talks in pubs and other venues.
Pint of Science will run from 19 to 21 May in Lincoln, with 16 expert speakers taking part.
The ticketed events will cover issues such as body image, rewilding and nanotechnology.
Dr Kay Ritchie, from the University of Lincoln, which is organising the festival, said it would showcase research "in a fun and interactive way".
The aim of the festival is to provide a space for researchers and members of the public to chat about ideas and research.
Events will take place at the Cardinal's Hat, the Pessimist and Dough Loco.
An exhibition featuring the works of local artists, inspired by the university's research, will be held at Lincoln Cathedral from 13 to 23 May.
Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation, co-ordinated by thousands of volunteers. Since its inception in 2013, the annual festival has grown to involve more than 25 countries and hundreds of cities around the world.
