Police have praised shoppers who arrested two men suspected of carrying a gun in Lidl.
Members of the public took "great personal risk" at the supermarket in Warminster, officers from Wiltshire Police said.
The men, aged 45 and 28, were thought to be preparing for a burglary or robbery.
They were later arrested by police and are being held in custody on suspicion of possession of a firearm, being drunk and disorderly, theft and going equipped for theft.
There were no injuries reported or shots fired.
"We would like to thank members of the public who immediately took action to detain the two men, at great personal risk, before police officers arrived at the scene," Wiltshire Police said.
Police have appealed for video footage or witness accounts of the men, who they arrested at about 16.30 GMT on Thursday.
