An ice rink is due to open in a city's former market square.

The Harry Jones Company, the organisers of Winter Wolverhampton, said it was expecting tens of thousands of people to visit it.

The free attraction will be open in the afternoon and evening from 29 November to 5 January.

It will also feature festive food and drink, a funfair and Father Christmas.

Tickets will have to be bought for the ice rink and can be purchased online.

"Its a first time event so we're expecting a really big turnout. It will be a place for families to get together and make some cherished memories," the Harry Jones Company said.

It will open between 14:00 BST and 21:00 BST throughout the week and 12:00 BST and 22:00 BST on the weekend.
