Woman completes 12 ultra-marathons challenge

A woman has walked 12 ultra-marathons in less than two weeks in aid of charity.
Lisa Foster, from Meir Park, covered 317 miles (510km) from Stoke-on-Trent to Fife, to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer in memory of her mother.
Ms Foster, whose mother Jean Bruce died from the disease 12 years ago, said her mum was a "big personality" so she wanted to do "something big" to honour that.
She has so far raised more than £3,600 ($4,500) for the Pancreatic Cancer UK charity.
Ms Foster completed the walk on Tuesday, 12 years to the day since her mother died.
Her destination was Kirkcaldy Fire Station, where a memorial tree is planted in honour of Mrs Bruce, who worked as a nurse.
It was an "exhilarating" and "emotional" experience, said Ms Foster.
She said there were some lighter moments during the walk - including when friends surprising her along the way by jumping out to walk with her part of the way.
She said she was also lifted by people beeping their car horns as they drove past, and by those making donations via an online fundraising page.
Ms Foster said: "Along this journey I've met many people who've been affected by the disease, and all have said the same thing, that there's not enough awareness out there.
"No cancer is nice, no-one wants any form of cancer, but this one is particularly vicious because usually by the time it's been diagnosed it's too late."
She said she would be putting her feet up for a couple of days now to recover from the walk.
