Man in hospital with head injury after assault

A man is in hospital with a head injury after an altercation involving a large group of people, police have said.
The incident took place in Millbrook Avenue in Middlesbrough shortly after 18:00 BST on Saturday, Cleveland Police said.
The 43-year-old victim's condition has been described as "stable", a force spokeswoman added.
A 58-year-old man and 57-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of affray, while a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding.
All three suspects remain in police custody and officers are appealing for information.
