Primary school closed due to storm damage
- Published
A primary school on the west coast of Guernsey will be closed on Monday due to damage sustained during Storm Darragh.
The States of Guernsey said the upper roof of La Houguette Primary School had "significant" damage resulting in leaks in several rooms and debris scattered across the roof and site.
The States said: "Because of this, the decision has been made to close tomorrow so contractors can attend, make the site safe, and begin repairs."
Parents were being contacted by the school, they added, and while it was hoped the closure would last one day, a further update would be given on Monday afternoon.
