A town centre road has been blocked off after the "sudden death" of a man in his 70s following a "medical incident" and collision.

Wiltshire Police said the incident happened on Station Road in Swindon at about 7:20 BST.

The force said there were "no suspicious circumstances" around the death of the man.

Police have warned of severe delays in the area, urging people to allow extra time for journeys and to find alternative routes.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust confirmed it had sent two double-crewed ambulances, an operations officer, and a critical care car to the scene.

They said the man's family had "been informed and our thoughts are with them at this sad time".
