Shipping containers turned into city bus shelters

The containers are about the size of a double shelter and feature bench seating

Two new bus shelters made from shipping containers have been installed in Plymouth city centre due to delays in replacing older ones.
The shelters have seating, lighting, ramps and handrails, Plymouth City Council said.
Twelve bus shelters were removed as part of improvements in and around Royal Parade, with plans to replace them with 15 larger units.
However, the council said delays in contract negotiations meant the old shelters between Courtenay Street and St Andrews Cross have not yet been replaced.
'A little unusual'
In the meantime shipping containers will be placed outside Dingles, Debenhams and Poundland - with two installed so far.
Work is expected to start on the 15 new units in spring, the council said.
Councillor Mark Coker, cabinet member for strategic planning and transport, previously said the solution was "a little unusual" but it was "practical and can be in place relatively quickly".
