Teenager arrested at airport after fatal stabbing

A third teenager has been arrested at an airport on suspicion of murder after the fatal stabbing of man in a car park.

The victim, aged 19, suffered several wounds during the attack, which was seen by many people in Market Street, Bury, at about 21:00 BST on Friday, Greater Manchester Police said.

Two 19-year-old men were arrested in Bury and Bolton on Saturday night, while another 19-year-old man was held at Manchester Airport at about 04:30 BST on Sunday.

Det Ch Insp John Charlton said the stabbing was believed to be "a targeted attack with no wider threat".

He added: "Even though we have three people in custody, this is still a live investigation and that will continue today and into next week.

"This was a violent and tragic incident that was witnessed by a lot of people."
