A man has been arrested and the bomb squad called out after what police called "suspicious items" were found at a property in the West Midlands.

The Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal team remained at the scene on The Broadway, Norton, Stourbridge, said West Midlands Police.

Officers were first called to the property at about 21:00 BST on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old was arrested on suspicion of making or knowingly having control or possession of an explosive in suspicious circumstances and remained in custody.

There was no threat to the wider community, the force added.
