Improved access work yet to happen at station

Improvements at a railway station have still not been carried out despite funding for the project being granted five years ago.
The money should have been used to create a new accessible route into Wellington station in Shropshire as well as installing a lift.
The station was chosen as one of 73 nationwide to benefit from Department for Transport Access For All funding in 2019.
Network Rail, which has responsibility for the works, has been approached for a comment.
Telford & Wrekin Council lobbied for the funding, although was not responsible for the work being carried out.
When the funding was announced it said it was a huge win and would result in improved access at the station.
Failure to carry out the improvements was "disappointing," said campaigner Ian Roberts.
Mr Roberts of Telford Macular Society support group said it was currently "very difficult" to negotiate the station.
"Although companies have a legal duty to make reasonable adjustments, it doesn't always work," he said.
Not having the accessibility "could reduce people's desire to go out by public transport," he added.
