Guernsey Post announces partnership with Primark

- Published
Guernsey Post has launched a new service to deliver Primark orders, enabling island residents to access the high street giant's products.
The service is being offered through Guernsey Post's existing myUKaddress platform and follows what it described as "overwhelming customer demand".
Primark does not currently offer direct home delivery to Guernsey.
The new system allows customers to shop via the Primark Click & Collect platform and have their items delivered via Guernsey Post.
'Overwhelmingly positive'
Cassy Fish, head of commercial at Guernsey Post, highlighted the strong public interest.
"We knew our customers were eager to shop at Primark, but with no home delivery option available, we explored alternatives," she said.
"The response was overwhelmingly positive. That's why we pulled out all the stops to make it happen in time for Christmas shopping."
Customers will need to have their orders sent to the retailer's Portsmouth store, before booking collection with Guernsey Post's myUKaddress service.
Once Guernsey Post has collected the items, customers will be charged a single shipping fee for the transit to the island.
Guernsey Post confirmed that a returns process is not yet available for items purchased through this specific service.
However, the company said it was working with Primark to establish a dedicated returns solution "as soon as possible."
