Anti-social house 'making life a misery' shut down

The house has been shut down for three months under a closure order

A house where anti-social behaviour was making the lives of nearby residents a "misery" has been shut down.
Cleveland Police said it had received numerous complaints about noise, fighting, verbal abuse, violence and drug taking at the address in Brotton High Street.
Police working with Redcar and Cleveland Council secured the three-month closure order.
Neighbourhoods Insp Neil Deluce said he hoped that people living nearby would now have a more "peaceful" summer.
"There was a long list of incidents at and near this address, making life a misery for the law-abiding majority who just want to live their lives in peace," he said.
"This order should now mean a more peaceful summer for other residents on and around Brotton High Street."
