Witness appeal after motorcyclist dies in Marden

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a crash in Marden.

Kent Police said it received reports of the two-vehicle collision in Maidstone Road on Sunday.

The crash, at about 15:40 BST, involved a white Fiat Panda and a green Kawasaki motorcycle.

Officers attended the scene alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service, where the motorbike rider, a man in his 50s, was pronounced deceased.

The man's next of kin have been informed, the force said.

It added that anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to officers, is urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538, quoting reference HW/CF/096/24.

Witnesses can also email sciu.td@kent.police.uk, while motorists and residents with relevant footage can upload it through Kent Police's online portal.
