Cash machine stolen in Morrisons ram-raid

Local people called the ram-raid a "disgusting act" that had left a huge mess

A cash machine has been stolen following a ram-raid incident which has destroyed a convenience store's front shutter.
Cambridgeshire Police were called at 02:50 BST about the raid at Morrisons on Gunthorpe Road, Peterborough.
A spokesperson said "suspects made off with a cash machine" and no arrests had been made yet.
Officers and a forensics team remained at the scene with a police tape around the building - which also has a separate hair salon which has remained open for business.

Members of the public walking along the road told the BBC it was a "disgusting act" and a "huge mess".
Police have closed Gunthrope Road towards Newborough - just off the Paston Parkway - as part of the same investigation.
Morrisons said it is assisting police with the investigation but did not wish to comment any further.
